Upon arrival in Paro on Druk Air (KB 107) from Kathmandu, you will process your Bhutan visa, which requires a fee of US$ 20 per person. Your Bhutanese escort will greet you and transfer you to your hotel, approximately 100 kilometers from the airport. The flight into the Himalayas offers breathtaking views of the great peaks and lands at Paro's cloud-scraping airstrip at an altitude of 7,000 feet. After refreshing at the hotel, take a leisurely stroll around the charming town of Paro. Spend the evening at leisure and overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Embark on a scenic drive from Paro to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital, situated at 7,500 feet. Explore Simtokha Dzong, an ancient fortress now serving as a religious university.
