The Raging Marshyangdi
Updated Information on Marshyangdi River Rafting
The Marshyangdi River, famously known as the "Raging River," offers one of the most thrilling and challenging white-water rafting experiences in Nepal. Flowing through the dramatic gorges of the Annapurna region, this river promises four days of continuous adventure and breathtaking scenery.
The journey begins with an early morning drive from Kathmandu to Khudi, taking around eight hours. From Khudi, a short trek leads to the put-in point at Bhulbhule, where you'll set up camp for the night. On the second day, the adventure starts with a trek to Ngadi, followed by the first day of rafting, featuring rapids such as Instant Karma, Twinkie, and Adrenaline. After an exhilarating day, you return to Khudi for an overnight stay.
On the third day, the rafting continues from Khudi to the Middle Marsyangdi Hydro Dam, with increasingly challenging rapids and stunning scenery. You'll camp near the dam, enjoying the natural beauty and the thrill of the rapids. The final leg of the journey on the fourth day involves navigating through the last set of rapids from the dam to Turture. From Turture, you can either head back to Kathmandu or continue to Pokhara, depending on your preference.
